When the narrator stops to measure her bits
And describe her features complete
I am forced to imagine only what fits
Our minds unable to meet

I'd rather see what is perfect to me
A detailed description is jarring
Let me fill my own fantasy
Color and shape
Just guide me through your storyscape
I'll embellish it richly for my own sake
Bringing my own perfect "she"

And when it's done, my memory
Fond from my own desires
Will attribute to you all of the thrills that I felt
Because of the plot twists your narrative dealt
Teasing her rudely and making me melt
'Cause her sufferings only become live wires
When I can imagine I'm she

I like your poem a lot.

YES! I always skim or even skip over those parts. Let's get to what's really going on. I'm sure there may be times with a certain characteristic is important to the story; but, I think rarely.
