It was fun while it lasted, you know this to be true,
But everything is time stamped, and the wages were due.
We did all we could to make it work out,
But in the end I left with a pout.
You should’ve known better, you can’t play in three,
It was you and her but then there was me.
The two of us were a lot to handle,
You said you loved us when we gave you a sample.
But here’s the difference between her and I,
She was already sharing, to me, you were mine.
Now things are different, and will never be the same,
I pray every night we’ll forget the others name.
Alas, my prayers go unanswered day to day,
Because you have no desire to stay away.
In the end, it’s all for the best I see,
You’ve got her, and he’s with me.
