Hard to believe in people today
Hard to believe in love and life
Hard to believe in truth, in lies
when so many see right thru' them.
Hard to believe there's evil today
that spreads throughout our world.
Hard to believe in ourselves and feel
that things will surely get better.
Hard to believe we've heart and soul
Hard to believe we've all got minds
Hard to believe in something when all
we've learned just isn't etched in stone.
Hard to believe the minutes and hours
that pass us by make a whole day.
Hard to believe Father Time is with us
when he just fights us all the time.
Hard to believe we are all sane
Hard to believe we're not crazy
Hard to believe we haven't won
the war on time because it is so
