the boys are passing in their pickups
at 90 mph trying to catch one another
while other boys tend to their families
at the taj mahal
I dont know where they are going at such speeds
or why they are staying here
enscripted in stone is the expression
we all need heroes to tell us how far we can go
they never mention if the hero is a he or her
the only thing I know about heroes is not here
so
dont go looking for it
because what you hear and what heroes hear
is the same thing
