I may see you across a crowded room,

I may see you across a field of green,

I may see you, and smile you see,

And of course you may see me.

We may feel an attraction for one another,

It changes instantly to sister and brother,

We are not related don't you see,

But is is how it must be.

So as we live side by side,

Our interests in one another, we must hide.

In the end we end up asking ourselves,

May I, Should I, Can I,

And to that I end up going no ,

I May Not. So what I may, or May not do,

I do not wish to overstep, if I admire you,

As all has said and been done, I may is a place we can not run.

I may live and die here alone, but to cross a line is not mine to own.

I want peace I want to laugh and love,

But I may is a question that shall never be answered from Above.
