I’m sorry I wasn’t good enough for you.
Before you roll your eyes and sigh that sigh.
Know that I mean that.
I am sorry I was never good enough.

I always wanted to be that perfect goddess you placed on your pedestal.
Wanted to be without flaws
Wanted to be the one you could love forever.
Wanted to be the one for you.

I tried.
I tried so hard to be what you wanted me to be
But I’m not perfect.
I can’t be your perfect goddess.

I fall from your grace so easily.
I trip.
I stumble.
And you banish me from your life without a second thought.

So, I’m sorry I wasn’t good enough for you.
Know that I tried.
But I will never be perfect
And I deserve to be respected and loved for who I am, flaws and all.

I’m sorry you weren’t good enough to love me for who I am.
