I dreamt of us when we were newly wed.
I remembered the love that I felt,
before all the angry words, we can't take back.
I could never find the words to say how I felt.
I had to borrow from the songs of others like:
"Good Morning Beautiful" and "Forever and Ever, Amen"
I hold this love in my heart, because it is precious to me.
I remembered that we were through, And I wept.
I regret being unable to express how I felt.
I regret the angry words.
The dream will fade, as in wakefulness, I forget.
I long for sleep, because in my dreams, I can cry.
