Now no more than a track - long unused,
the marks left by the tyres almost obscured,
then past the barns, now unroofed,
their bare, ruined beams stark against the sunset,
the murmuration the only sound.

Where once the road led to danger,
the entrance to the wide open sky
filled with balloons
the ack-ack guns, stark against the sunset,
the engines the only sound.

And where the bindweed grows among the ruins
there he once stood, proud and tall
shading his eyes against the sun,
looking back to see you,
the symbol - and the Hope.

The passion ignited, blazing like yours for me
and for him, our lives interlocked
like our limbs as we lay, spent but happy
in those lost, lazy summer afternoons
as the planes flew overhead.

Turning over the debris with my stick,
pieces of fractured metal, shattered glass.
remnants of the broken lives
and the lost loves of
all our yesteryears.

Yet I am not here to mourn
but to remember with gratitude
what was once done here, for all
in this all but forgotten corner
that will be forever England- and now.

Dear Pixie,

I am not trying to be a pain, but you only have a "Poem" category listed on your BIO page.

Are you planning on creating a new "Pixie Category" for this poem?

I felt a different emotion, one from long ago. where warm days and warm people protected us from all that is evil.

Your way with words always move me.

Thank you. XXX

Great to Have You Back Pixie- Your Opinion Requested on How I Sort your Stories

Dear Pixie,

It is so wonderful to see you fully healthy again Pixie and publishing your works at your normal Pixie pace.

I find it wonderful to see you publishing more poems, Pixie.

I hope you had time to review your Pixie Literotica 3rd Year Anniversary Statistical Analysis-R1 slide deck.

I also sent you your Pixie Literotica 3rd Year Anniversary Overall Story Series Stats for your review / opinion.

Pages 2 thru 8 of the attached slide deck displays the charts, that I will use to display all your story series results.

This PDF also includes two complete lists of your 308 published works.

PDF pages 10 thru 32 rates / lists all your 308 published works via the highest to Lowest Star Rating and having a Red “H,” then lists your remaining published works by only the Star Rating.

PDF pages 34 thru 54 rates / lists all your 308 published works only via their highest to Lowest Star Rating.

I assume you will select PDF pages 10 thru 32, but I want you to make the final choice.

Once you make your selection Pixie, I then will sort all your Stories Series that way.

My only goal is to provide you with the best presentation for all your published works’ results.

Sadly, if you do not respond, I will use the PDF pages 10 thru 32 option.

Above all Pixie, I want this to be your best presentation.

Note: Please feel free to make a recommendation on the pictures.

Please, Enjoy Your Day Pixie and Stay Healthy & Safe.

Heartfelt lines. “… murmuration the only sound.” Beautiful sense.

Stirring and poignant, taking me back to scenes of my boyhood. A lovely evocation of once upon a time.
