it won't be this way forever
a challenge?
or a curse?
occasionally,
i want to hold on
to every single atom
but death,
transmutation,
potential -
the kind you may
fear to waste

it won't be this way forever
like a binding spell

a prolonged
constant anticipation
until i tasted death
for the first time
and sat with it
really
sat
with
it
allowing its' bouquet
to engulf my senses
in vain
no amount
of worry could
keep me -
i cried everyday
for three whole months
and then every three days after
until at some point
mid march
my heart wretched open
threw back dusty curtains
and invited you in
