It’s silly, of course,
To put pants on a horse,
Or panties and bra on a cow.
But old Clifford Prout
Was indignant about
All the things we should not allow.
“It’s not only lewd
But terribly rude
For a dog to be seen without clothes.”
He made clothes of all sorts:
Designer jeans (even shorts)
And a line
Of Bovine
Panty hose.

Now I know of proof
T’was all just a spoof,
And old Cliff was just putting us on.
It’s strange he’ll concede
That millions agreed
And wrote letters that said,
You’re right on!”

They said, “Our bodies are lewd,
And it’s filthy and crude
To see anything not properly dressed.
It’s important to wear
Things to cover “down there”
To avoid being sexually obsessed.”

It’s silly of course To put pants on a horse,
But it’s also rather perverse
To hate so emphatic
(so idiosyncratic)
And to think that our body’s our curse

I feel so sad for the crowd
Who, for crying out loud,
Have gone off the deep end in this way.
But I can’t help but feel
Though their trauma is real,
Perhaps what they need’s a good lay

In he sun
Without clothes. . .
