*For my June, with all my heart and soul.

So, she did not leave,
my rough northern lass,
and together we weathered
the storm
loving
knowing it was enough
our hearts as one
so, we two remained.

What does not destroy you
makes you the stronger
so the saying goes
the storm
passed
the rock on which we
stood stood unscathed
we two are one.

The leisure of late summer
gives way to autumnal
pressure, but she knows
that us
loving
is true today as
yesterday and as tomorrow
we are each others.

Sometimes we weather storms; sometimes we do not. And we remember much of both but with a different feeling/taste. Your prose and your poetry always give me pause — encourage me to feel and think in the same moment. Lovely piece.
