Past is the life I never knew.
It's changed much in the years I grew.
New challenges come with the old.
Being bold stepping in the cold
To find warmth anew and failing,
I'm flailing and should be sailing
Upon this ship that I once knew
But has become strange since I grew.
Much that had seemed to be okay
Now seems to me to be astray.
From many years in which I grew
I see the life I never knew.
