They say lightning doesn't strike twice.
Right about now it does sound nice.

I stand here, completely soaked to the bone.
I'm dripping more than an ice cream cone.

Lightning comes and then the thunder.
Hoping this does not become a blunder.

I know nothing about the weather.
I'll wither away like a bird's feather.

I don't care if it takes all night.
I'll do this before the sun light.

Soon this life will end in a blast.
Who cares? It wasn't meant to last.

Patiently, I waited for lightning to strike.
I feel abandoned and useless as a bike.

I stand tall, just ready for it.
It won't be long for the big hit.

I close my eyes, getting into position.
No one here to give me permission.

Closer and closer I could feel the bolt.
I'm not as scared as a runaway colt.

It hits me, my body starts to tingle.
No women around ready to mingle.

For a second my body began to glow.
I may be wrong, now I'm set to blow.

Deep fried or medium rare.
Then again who would care?
