As day fades into night a
soul feels lost in the half light...
with faith before him at bay
and daylight fading slowly away...
he cries and begs for faith to return to
him into his heart and soul that burn...
he just keeps losing his fight
because he's losing the light.

As sun fades the moon glows
it's so full and God only knows...
the soul and spirit survives
in a being that feels so alive...
the daylight fades, night creeps in
tension in the air begins again....
there is a passion inside
though he keeps losing the light.

Sun rises, burns brightly all day
all of the vultures are kept at bay...
when the smell there intensifies
it gets into everybody's eyes...
the sting of righteousness and cold greed
is reborn from a newer human seed...
as he watches the sky at night
he can tell he's losing his fight...

because he is losing the light.
