Good Morning, Mr. Reaper Man
you aren't welcome here.

Meet You On Another Day
When we're on our final Way
you may come around next time
I won't give the man who's mine
He's not yours, Today

You might be a man in black
but your darkness won't suit us.

We don't bargain for our lives,
in all we trust is Cash!

Meet You On Another Day
When we can afford to Pay
we just passed round thirty-six
but need some more album pics
Till our hairs are Grey

Your cheeks ain't made for kissing
but surely his lips are.

Retract your love-deaf knives,
expect the singing Slash!

Meet You On Another Day
When we've finished our Play
Let us try, give him a chance
first man coming more than once
Won't take long, Okay?

Looking for a sweeter life
but not your sugar cane.

Won't find him among The Hives!
I keep him in my cache.

Meet You On Another Day
When we're done with Swing'N'Sway
with his life drive still so high
man enough to gratify
Yet no dried Clay

You say I'm a simple girl
and haven't been proposed.

Leave and widow tyrants' wives
struggling with The Clash!

Meet You On Another Day
When Champagne is all we'll Spray
his drink ain't the final toast
this dry throat needs more at least
Served with life's Delay

Chimes haven't played their fives
still a gleam in night's ash.

Meet You In The Afterlife
When I've been his life-long Wife
in dark nights for all their lengths
in bright days with all their widths
Stuck in Overdrive

This is beautiful. It's passionate and uncooperative, but also full of love. And maybe also full of music references? Either way, I like it a lot.

Primarily, for two souls who out of the blue favorited another poem and made my heart weep with a brave, sad profile. Hope you can chase some more numbers. All the best to you.

Hear! Hear! I admire the strength and the defiance in this piece.
