~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In the car
On the way home
From your house
You reached for my hand and
I leaned into you and said,
Tell me you miss me
When we aren’t together
Well aren’t you needy
You said, smirking.
Yes.
I am.
I need to know that you miss me.
I need to know that you love me.
I need to know that you want me.
You looked at me
Squeezed my hand
And said
Honey.
I miss you.
I love you.
I want you.
Every day,
Every minute.
You’re my girl.
When we got to my house
I made us tea
And sat at the table
With you
And you reached for me
And said,
Come here.
You need a reminder.
Holy fuck.
You absolutely
Reminded me.
And left me shaking,
Bruised,
Wet,
And so sure
That we had something
That neither of us get
From anyone else.
Not even from
Her.
And don’t think
I didn’t notice,
With evil glee,
That you
called me
Honey
