she came as an angel
and she came to me
in front of her did my heart dangle
lord how can this be
she came as a dove
and she came to me
she came from heaven above
lord how can this be
lord what does this mean
i thought love wasnt meant for me
but this i never could have forseen
lord how can this be
i have loved and lost
broken my heart many a time
across the oceans it was tossed
lord are you giving me a sign
lord please tell me how
tell me what to do
as droplets of sweat form on my brow
was i led here because of you
my love i feel could grow very strong
but yet i feel so weak
is this where i belong
or am i just to meek
i long for love
really i do
a small white dove
to fly with me too
my chance i will take
a question left to ask
my heart waiting to break
i am left with no easy task
is this love
is this meant to be
will she be my dove
will she in turn love me
all i can do is ask
hopefully she will see
in her love i would bask
