My tongue, a curious thing it is, With taste buds that can't resist The sweet, the sour, the salty, the tart Flavors that play on my palate and heart

It's a tool for expression, for words to flow To share thoughts and feelings, to let them show It can soothe a hurt with a gentle word Or lash out in anger, like a sharp sword

My tongue is a bridge, between mind and soul It speaks of love and hate, of joy and woe It tells of dreams and fears, of hopes and plans And carries the voice of a million hands

So let my tongue be kind, let it speak true Let it bring comfort and happiness too For words can heal, and they can hurt But it's up to us to choose their worth.
