Solomon, the King, great honor due
Commanded a tribute from Timbuktu
In time a treasure caravan did return
with precious gems and golden urns
and seated mid this opulence Sheba the Queen
No greater beauty man has seen

And of your beauty I’d never seen
No doubt this life has treated me mean
No need to voyage to a foreign shore
I found you in a grocery store
With curly wild sexy hair
And breasts that made grown men stare
Shoulders bare, cleavage ripe within
Your shining teeth and graceful chin
Oh what a state you put me in
I ran to your magnetic voice
I didn’t have a bit of choice
I knew the moment was do or die
I turned and looked you in the eye
I whispered, “Dear Mam,
where have they hid the lamb”

I asked Nefertiti this foolish question for a Queen
“I can’t find it,” I asked. “have you seen?”
And like a chest of precious myrrh
On the aisle behind the beer
You ran on your Olympian feet
A Goddess then you turned to me to speak
“Here’s the lamb, here it be
Not one package but two or three”

My brain was whirling, my mouth was dry
I could hardly look you in the eye
You wandered off, I was petrified
That I might lose you unless I tried
And there on the parking lot
I asked your name and I got
A treasure real and profound
Your voice so bright a ringing sound
That angels use to speak on earth
Proof of heaven’s resounding worth

I now believe in Angel’s grace
Since I’ve kissed your smiling face
And tasted you in places rare
and made love to you with great care
an hour with you is worth a year
foreswearing alcohol or beer
No mortal can lift my spirit to the height
that loving you does in one night
