There is a witch in the wasteland who calls without calling.
I stand at the edge of the wasteland, moonlight shining in my tears.

Out there in the wasteland there's a witch with reason to claw out my eyes.
I stand at the edge of the wasteland, unable to catch my breath.

If I return to the wasteland somebody will get hurt, maybe everybody will get hurt.
I stand at the edge of the wasteland bleeding.

If I go into the wasteland in moonlight I will slip my leash.
I stand at the edge of the wasteland listening to the thunder of my heart.
