Leave town
on the midnight train
in a steady
pouring rain,
Tiny sleeper
room for two
knowing what
we will do,

Bottle of wine
from the store
small backpack
nothing more,
Been drinking
since supper time
both feeling
extra fine,

Train whistle
blows three times
feel the movement
down our spine,
Push together
by acceleration
expectations
of a great vacation,

Show our tickets
lock the door
yes, we’ve done
this before,
We know the plan
know the drill
know the fun
know the thrill,

Rain-soaked city
floats on by
as my hand
floats up your thigh,
Slide your panties
down your skin
slip one finger
deep within,

Lips meet
tongues twist
you hold on
to my wrist,
Press your breasts
to my chest
for the wicked
there is no rest,

You unbutton
my shirt and jeans
wishing we
were in our teens,
Doing it
the first time
write it down
in some rhyme,

Press against
the train window
spread your legs
and in I go,
Motion of
the train increases
we slowly
fall to pieces,

Fully fucked
drink the wine
as we roll
on down the line,
Half erect
half asleep
with no promises
to keep,
