Back in the Seventies in The Netherlands porn flicks were only allowed to be viewed by up to fortynine visitors at any one time. On February 18th, 1977, Cinema Parisien in Amsterdam on 69 Nieuwendijk showed the movie Deep Throat to more than fifty people, thus evoking a court trial. The outcome was that the showing of a pornographic movie in a cinema with less than fify seats to people from 18 years of age is not offensive to public decency, provided the visitors are warned with a sign at the entrance saying they are about to see hard core. This court ruling was related to the abolition of the Dutch Film Inspection for adults.
