Loving Aurora, fair of face and fertile womb
Whose beauty and love once saved me from doom
Her issue now growing with our future, our hope
Nightly I cleanse her with delicate soap
Rubbing her belly with sweet-smelling oil
Brushing her long hair, braiding in a coil
Laying her down, I hold her close
Wishing to give her that which she desires most
Counting down the days ‘til our child, unstressed
Freshly issued, lays his head on mother's breast
Until that moment, I remain devoted
Through my lips or my body, my passion being emoted.
