My heart was never fickle. Though I endured isolation, control, manipulation and ridicule; my love was genuine. I am not at fault for the twists and turns of my mind. I had little chance to share who I was and am. While under the heel of a tyrant, I breathed shallow breaths and did what I could to keep myself sane as well as quell the beast. Every move of mine was defensive. My thoughts are with the next victims. I reported. Someone will eventually hear our voices.
