Alone, in this cold darkness,
I hear your voice but I can't see you.
I search every corner,
trying to see through this blackness,
trying to see your silhouette against the wall.

Emptiness surrounds me,
loneliness spreads its fingers in a deadly grip.
I feel I'm falling
deeper with each second that goes by
into a well without end.

I hear your voice again,
there you are, trying to catch me,
stretching to hold my hand
and stop my falling,
but it's too late, I'm out of reach.

I know this feeling only too well. This really made me cry.
