of course this works. Either sex cell begins a life. This is one of the few poetry with visuals that I liked both parts.
I suppose a gamete can't truly be considered a cell but that word wouldn't fit with the metre. I should have titled this poem "When Gametes Collide". LOL. Thanks for your thoughts on this one. --CC
ill grammar works in a wonderful way here. Just one question, since I got a D in college biology: does life begin as a single cell or as the joining of both sex cells? For some reason I thought when the sperm meets the egg we have a multi-cellular organism. haha, I'm not trying to be difficult, I've spent a few minutes thinking this thru and I can't decide. Poetic license gifts you the leniancy to say both sperm and egg are the duplicitous beginning of life, sort of at the same time they're you. God, I'm going to have to go on wikipedia now.
