I have been here for a loooong time, sorta and I still have some poems that dont even have 200 reads, so dont take it personally, it might be the title, or heck, I dunno, just hang in there :)
I'm a new poet on here and while my first poem may not be that good, people don't know that until they have actually read it. The site shows I have only received 99 views. Could it be that the poetry mafia only like to read and then praise each other's work?
Thanks to those that did read, vote and comment.
I don't really know what it is either, maybe it's the stark simplicity that I like so much.
I don't know what it is about your poem but something in it made me stop and think. You managed to draw a nice imagery of despair and longings.
I could feel the weight of your words coursing through the flow of its impeding resonance.
