A pleading look, while all around
The dampness did assail
Two figures, cold, beneath a sky
That was uniformly grey.
The one who begged, without a word,
Was shivering in a parka,
His head was bare, un-hooded from
The clouds that were growing - darka.
The drier figure smugly thought,
(Under her pink umbrella,)
"You should've thought to bring your own,
Tsk, tsk, you poor wet fella."
She was deaf to his mute appeal,
She would not share at all
The patch of dry that was offered by
Her lovely pink parasol.
But in the end, compassion won,
He didn't need to say, "Please?"
An umbrella shared, a friendship struck,
And all he did was - sneeze!

Oh, what nice little fun. Brings back the memory of Pixar's "The Blue Umbrella".

Thanks for this warm friendly moment, still smiling.
