Grinding halt of man
The earth takes a breath – in – out
A wistful reprieve

Lazaretto leads
Us to the champion; steadfast
Mirror peering back

Broader shoulders or
a lighter load? A choice for
the individual

Alas! The sands of time
Running faster and faster
Make each grain count

Black and white vision
Not for world’s lacking hue
Eyes used but naught

Most thunderous crack!
Roaring waves! Mother nature;
To earth, she returns.
