Power, hunger,
slithering, stealthy...

Preying, watching,
waiting, hiding...

The creature, captured
the prey in darkness...
the instinct so aware,
so venomous, so dangerous.

The scent of fear
the smell of flesh
the heart of stone
beating wildly...

Again the ravenous hunger
is purely in control...
as the soul is in darkness
with an urge to feed.

The eyes darting
the forked tongue testing
the air, the scent
of an animal in wait.

Raging, reeling,
feeling..

Writhing, tingling,
creeping...

so ravenous.
