Note: This poem marks a shift inside of my emotionally where I started to retake control of my life as best as I could.

~~~~~~~~~~~
Life is much like the most precious of art
Have a history that originates in the dark
A minuscule grain at the start
All hidden ignited into a spark
Change sudden and pain blinding
Mark the beginning of your tale
Your essence raw with potential hiding
Show what could be found on your scale
Growth slow and steady refining
Ups and downs the road given
Experiences building or shattered driving
Reactions either cheerful or darkly driven
Dreams shattered or underfoot trampled
Hearts taken apart and cruelly broken
Result in the profoundly destructive example
Illuminating existing evils darkly awoken
Hope sheltered or shadowed reveal
Purity smelted and tempered in flame
Imperfections of self processed stren then and heal
Better version slowed by inner demons blame
Swords and gold bars the process showing
Ore the mining act the painful birth
Into the crucible the growing
Hammer strikes the lessons bring forth
Battles fought and Coins spent showing
Perceptions true or false of actual worth
Proper care maintains and repairs done
Keep the function optimal and intentional
Stress the wearing chipping cracked zones
Events and resources dictating the relational
Broken down and worn from the grind
Remnants of the original left from the darkened gorge
A spark to be rekindled and begun in the mind
Stronger the fragments allowed to reforge.
