I will not eat poetry
Rimbaud has got nothing on you
(or me)
.....well
we do share transparent skin
and flesh,
corroded
I see right through
write me off Dr. A
deny your own cravings for petals
pulled from the flower of death
rose hips snapdragon lips
chromoplasts ground down
carotenenes flavones
bleeding anthocyanin
I remain
at your feet
until you say
don't talk yourself into us
you remember
leaving something on the stove
I hide among steam that
condenses on the glass jars
cardamom, lemon pepper
until under my fingers you believe
my lies
of course
I eat poems
spiceless and raw,
fresh off the street.
I'm late but I got here eventually. I would have turned up in the early hours of the morning for this poem. It makes the brain work but the brain gets its reward.
Great poem AS
I needed a refill. ;) like I always do with Anna's work. Yes, I said creepy, but I thnk anna knows I adore her and her work and only said that in the very kindest and most flattering of ways. If not, then I apologize from the depths of my heart and ask sincere forgiveness.
Damn!! I miss still life with street light... love you woman, xoxox
~~m~~
the piece of work. the prescription you have concocted is now sitting under my tongue to absorb.......don

Wow! I don't know what to say!! Think, think...
I saw someone wrote "creepy". I'm not quite sure if that's the word I would use. It's different, kind of wild. Of course, not in a bad way!
Raw, damn it, that's it!! I read this three times, and there isn't one thing I didn't like about it. The ending couldn't have been any better. VERY good poetry.
"we do share transparent skin" reminded me of Dali, his quote
"When I was five years old I saw an insect that had been eaten by ants and of which nothing remained except the shell. Through the holes in its anatomy one could see the sky. Every time I wish to attain purity I look at the sky through flesh."
I don't know why I thought of it
I don't know what else to say
This is kinda creepy, chloroplasts, ground down, just evil, and genius, I say!! truly love this side of you xoxox
