Was gettin' ready soon it'd be time,
Be standing in front of those gates.
Not a worry for me and no concerns,
Steppin' through then play all day.

Made my peace, settled those debts,
Got everything squared ready to get.
Play my last song for all my friends,
Ain't stopping' me from those gates.

Oh sure fell and was bad a few times,
But wasn't nutin' compared to some.
A last shot of whiskey then lay to sleep,
Peaceful, restful bliss of final dreams.

Woke up there's the light, headin' to it,
The last walk before a lasting reward.
On the road of beauty with its wonders,
Then standn' before me Heaven's Gates.

Couldn't seem to grasp, they were closed,
Seeing someone there I walked on over.
Sayn', lemme in, here to receive the prize,
Want to start with playn' the best for you.

Play for all and show your worth I'm told,
If you rock, come play your heart's content.
Here I am guitar in hand before all to hear,
Rockn' out for all in front of Heavens Gates.
