you still wander
through my mind, sometimes
a sprinkle here, a babble there
barely a trickle, really
just a gurgling branch, entwined
with this rumbling
tangle of tributaries
that feed this untamed channel
roaring deep-carved into the bedrock

@Paul4play thanks for the encouraging comment. Sometimes it's hard to tell whether a piece achieved its purpose. Especially for my poetry, which tends to work in imagery that can be ambiguous.
