I lie in bed
And watch it flitter past me
Little wings that I reach out to touch
This empty feeling
Almost tangible in front of me
At times it’s dormant
Safely encased in its cocoon
And at others
It floats freely through the air
Fluttering across
the landscape of my mind
In search of sustenance
It rests on my petals to feed

Featherlight words that feel like a soft breeze on the skin.

You bring a feeling to life, for your readers to feel. For your readers to feel you. Beautiful.
