Outside deck
local bistro
drinking a coffee
on the go,
The next table
two girls conversating
for lunch, all three of us
patiently waiting,

Girl on the left
looked my way
then looked again
what should I say?
Formfitting tee-shirt
snug yoga pants
the curves of her body
left nothing to chance,

Our sandwiches came
I watched her eat
now and then
our eyes would meet,
She tossed me a smile
between two bites
I wonder what brings her
joy and delight,

Finish our lunches
go our own ways
will there be a chance
one of these days,
To discover if we have
some common ground
as she left her smile said
see you around …
