The curtains fall around my bed
Night steals into the room
I tuck myself beneath the sheets
And hum a simple tune

As I begin to drift away
Across the window flits
A grim, grey shadow peeking
Through the window slits

Oblivious I sleep
Not hearing the window slide
No whisper do his feet make
Across the room he glides

A feather touches my wrist
A knot placed to keep me still
I try to move and can't
I awaken with a chill

A palid handsome face
Looms above my head
As the stranger kneels
And sinks into the bed

His hands are fast
Too fast to see
And the covers are
Ripped from me

I try to scream
He lunges and swallows it
Hand tracing my gown
Checking well the fit

I thrash and writhe
His fingers catch the seam
I'm laid bare
I'm praying it's a dream

His hunger bears into my soul
He has me in his hands
Then in a moment
Over me he stands

He strips down to the skin
A healthy sight he seems
Then at my throat he bites
And outward my blood streams

His manly member
Finds its mark
He ignites me
Like a spark

I buck and cry
But it does no good
I am now nothing
More than food

He bursts inside
An unending pulse
As dying
I convulse

In that final moment
I see the holy light
And I gratefully
Give up the fight

But Michael stands
And bars the gate
I'm bound for a
Torrid fate

As my eyes open
And my mortal clay
Rises up never
To see another day

The sun shines on me
And I let forth a scream
But wait, oh thank the lord
It was just a dream
