Let me be the sun-drenched lawn
you cast your lovely shadow on,
settling upon my every blade
your soothing, cooling, welcome shade.
And if perchance you came to lay
upon your darkness this bright day,
I would proclaim for the sky to hear
I crumple to bear my love so near.

Concrete dweller here who misses the feel of lush grass on bare feet and skin. Nice flow, great imagery. Very well done.
