Most folk pass through our
Lives leaving hardly a trace
Strangers on a train.
But just a few stay
In our thoughts and hearts like a
Touch or a deep kiss
Not to be washed
Off, never to be forgot
Always that in place
For the loving thoughts
And fondest warmest memories
To keep our spirits
Raised in the darkest
Times and lonely hours
And long wakeful nights.
