Our lives are twinned
Across these lawns

our paths recognizable
the trajectory obvious

Our husbands are shapeless now
We are but a demographic now
Our lives an ad campaign now

The pictures I post are far different
Than the ones I have in my head
I’ve put glimpses of you in a mental scrapbook, locked but for stolen moments

Your body is too familiar now
It’s honest and in my dreams now
my thoughts stop and start with you now

We’ve had moments between us that felt like the precipice, that felt like our touching lips would unlock what’s next, and it’s driven a lust I didn’t know I could have

I want to break the glass now
I want to fuck and thrash and cum now
I want to share a love now

I just don’t know how
