He told me that he loved me.
That he spent his time away
Always thinking of me. The house
near the freeway was all with me in mind. We were soul mates. Two of
A kind. Our meetings in the middle
were pleasant enough. When it came to living together, that was tough. My pockets were picked and my trust was abused. His friends were entertained as I was being used. At the end of it all, I still had hope for a fairy tale. Found another false love; thought I had the holy grail. Took the last I had to give and I guess, set next to the first, preferring his mess. Now I mean nothing to the men of my past. Just grim reminders of the tenderness of the last.
