I hear the screams and I hear the cries.
Everything we've been told are all lies.

No bed to lie on and no more hugs.
Stuck here with the rest of the bugs.

I sit here waiting and crying in the dark.
I wish I could play with the kids in the park.

Will I ever see my parents again?
It's getting late and it's after ten.

I missed them so very much.
I missed the feel of their touch.

No one here to wipe my tears.
I lay here locked with my fears.

We're all animals locked in a zoo.
There's nothing left here to do.

We need our parents and we need their love.
We all like to see the flight of a winged dove.

We need to know what it means to be free.
We're in a country with many places to see.

We need to get out of our cages.
We've been locked up here for ages.

If there's ever a miracle we need it now.
I wouldn't mind being as fat as a cow.

I hope one day we'll all be free.
That's what life is meant to be.
