I wished I lived in another lifetime
before plastic and cell phonia
before the rush of anxiety mania
and editorials extolling pastel radicals.
To a time when Chaco gypsy maidens
danced in the canyons on moonlit nights
celebrating the enthusiastic simplicity
in the eyes of a horse running free.
