My pain hung on our walls when I could not speak. Images of forced submission, violence, and abuse. Silent sketched and captured birds and a zombie butterfly. No color. Pinned down and spread wide on canvas, perpetually open, monstrous and ogled. I decorated my walls with the fear I could not speak.
