the persistence of you hasn’t left me
like i thought it would
fade as colors bleed out
of an autumn sky into gray twilight

can you hear me can you hear me
can you hear me can you hear my
heart’s steady whisper mixing with
the fog settling in the zinneas
and drooping dahlias too heavy headed

skin rasping against the last mint leaves
like fingers stroking my thigh
it’s been years since you traced
the inside of me beckoning and hungry

the memory blooms while you wipe dirt
off your palms to be caught in a
breeze that sings hear me hear me
hear me against your cheek leaving
your belly warm as chilled night sets

Your garden is quite a sensuous place! Arousing and erotic…..
