You turn your head and cry,
as a single tear drips from your eye.
The guilt from the promise that you broke,
is to much for your heart to hold.
You told yourself that you wouldn't let it happen,
To feel the love you always wanted.
You could not - would not love someone,
as much as they would love you.
You turn your head and cry,
knowing your heart betrayed your thoughts.
With a soft touch on your neck,
You feel the warmth,
of the one that your heart betrayed you for.
Feeling the lips of the one you have loved so dear,
And the cold wet touch of his tears,
He knows you try to deny your love,
Knowing your mind often tells you that your heart is wrong..
Denying the emotions you feel inside.
You need not deny what you crave and love,
For you should know by now,.....
That this one true love was sent from above.
