The Quest has now been given
the pledges have been made
We ride out with the morning sun
The Bitch will feel the blade

Our King is still in power
though evil's all around
We pledge to pound her minions
deep into the ground

Ride across the trackless plain
armed with iron and steel
Now we ride in silence
to mask the pain we feel

With the blessing of the Lord
and sanctioned by the law
Ride the plain to the East
our Quest to kill them all

Ride---on this Quest
Can we---survive this test
Won't---ever rest
Till She---has met her death

The mountains and the valleys
spread for miles around
Ride with stealth and cover
her spies they are abound

Cross the freezing river
the forest and the plain
To go into a battle
starting a new Reign

Skirmish with the Highland Lord
we've taken many heads
Razed the kingdom to the ground
the Highlands now run red

Continue with our quest
started the revenge
Our minds now celebrate
the Highland Lord is dead

Ride---on this Quest
Can we---survive this test
Won't---ever rest
Til She---has met her death

Travel near the Eastern Sea
this road is long and hard
Rest a few days in the dunes
yet still we stay on guard

The Lowland Lord now beacons
a battle soon draws near
And though outnumbered four to one
we'll fight on without fear

Battle---To take her head
Fight---Till the Bitch is dead
Slaughter---now begins
Punished---for all her sins

Head in to the North lands
to climb the mountains high
To find the seat of Power
for this we pledge our lives

Her sub-Lords now are smitten
as the Wizard had foretold
Fighting for our Homelands
as it was in the days of old

Her Castle walls now beacon
the towers rising high
Her final place of power the
evil Bitch must die

Sing cantations to our God
and sharpen up our steel
Plan the final strategy
the pain of death she'll feel

Battle---to take her head
Fight---till the Bitch is dead
Honor---that we defend
Freedom---for the King again

The final battle now begins

Nov. 1990 (c) Mark J

Author's note:

I wrote this originally in the summer of 1990. It got put to music that fall. This piece is in no way influenced by anything written by George RR Martin. In fact I had never heard of the man until Game of Thrones came out. Any similarity to anything in his books or the HBO series is purely coincidental.
