Hush now
Body tense
Even as you sleep
Night whispers
Taking you fast
Heavy, hard
Laboured breath
Escaping lips
I long to kiss
Come night
Come
Wrapped in quiet
Wrapped in dark
Hush stars
Waking one by one
Dazzling the night sky
Little white lights
Aglow
Hush now
O' blinding light of moon
Let the night take this day
Put to rest
The fear
The worry
The pain
Hush wind
The stillness of you
Silenced in the night
The dark rolling in
Settling over our sleeping bodies
Slumber holding us
Lulling us
Into dream
Peaceful suspension
For a moment
Blanketed with night
Settle here with me
A little while more
Into the quiet
Hush

Read on a Sunday morning - the birds, the sun, the wind already awake - I really would have liked them to listen to your splendid words, "'Hush', bring back the night."

I could almost FEEL this.
