The Storm

As I stand, on the dark and lonely street
With the wind whipping my cloak around
And the rain streaming down my face
I look up and see the moon
Full in her pregnant state
Thru the clouds she’s barely visible
She’s like a beacon of light
To fight back total darkness
To keep us from having a fright
As I look around me
I see others hurrying to get home
To get out of the wind and the rain
To get out of the storm
I throw my head back and laugh
I’m loving every second
I’ve never felt more alive
Than in this incredible down pour
As I stand, watching others as I laugh
I notice a woman watching me with great interest
As she cocks her head and studies me
A shiver runs down my spine
I don’t know who this woman is
But I know I should not meet her
Fore I know my life
Will never, ever be the same
I stop laughing and start looking
Mainly at my feet
Feeling nervous as hell
As this woman silently watches me
Quick as a flash she’s at my side
Putting a gentle hand on my shoulder
She whispers in my ear
Something I cannot hear
Then she stares into my eyes
How gray can be beautiful
I shall not know
But that is the shade of her eyes
She then caress my cheek
And strokes my lips
All I can do is melt inside
The attraction I feel is overwhelming
I never have felt this way before
As she takes my hand
She leads me to an old abandoned building
I am powerless to resist or refuse
“Dear sir,” she says to me
“Why do you laugh at others?
When you can plainly see
How miserable and tired they are?”
I do not know
I’m awe struck by her beauty
I have no words to say
A frown cresses her brow
And a look of disgust crosses her face
She reaches out and touches me
I feel the burning pain course thru my arm
I look up at her and find she’s staring at me
I can’t help but to find love in those beautiful eyes
“I know what you see, when you look at me
I know what you feel, it’s written on your face
When you look into my eyes
It’s in the way you shift and squirm about
That gives your lust away
Shall I undress and make you happy
But alas your thoughts will not go away
Or should we lie down
Naked upon the ground
Making love in a passionate frenzy.
Is that what you are wanting me to say?”
At that she stood and dropped the dress
It whispered softly as it rumpled to the floor
The sight of her nude is more than I can stand
And I softly begin to weep
“My beautiful lady,” I say to her, in the smallest of voices
“I laugh at them for they are miserable, pathetic, and tired.”
As she stands before me
I am on my knees
Head bowed in sudden shame
She steps up to me
And embraces me
Her smooth belly feels warm on my face
“Who are you?
Where are you from?
Fore no beauty is born of this planet”
She smiles at me, still embracing me
And tells me that it’s of no concern
She holds my head up, looking into my eyes
As she slowly descends to the floor
She closes in and starts kissing me
My passion for her is ever more
As I touch her body
My blood begins to race
My heart starts beating loudly
It is not lust, but love I feel
For this stranger from the storm
As our bodies merge
And two souls become as one
As I waken, I watch the sun set
My lady is no where to be seen
I look at the moon and smile at her
Knowing that it could not be true
I’m confused
Not truly understanding
What happened the night before
As I get up and get dressed
A bluish light shines down upon me
I walk out to the street to have a look
What I see is amazing, it cannot be so
For the moon is enormous in the night sky
She looks like she’s about to burst
No one else seems to notice
As they all go about they’re way
As I stand staring at the moon
I happen to notice the lady watching me.
And once again
Quick as a flash
She’s at my side
But this time she seems different
By Goddess, something’s not right.
Her beauty is still there
But something is not the same
Her eye color is different
No longer the beauty of gray
But of a dark vibrant green instead
She takes my hand gripping it tightly
And she throws me back into the building
“Last night I gave you pleasure,
All the pleasure you could stand.
Now something is wrong with me
This I do not understand.
What could you have done to me?
I am above all mortal issues.
I took your lust and gave it back to you
As I’ve done all thru time
To thousands of men.
Who are you!
What have you done to me!
I ask you dear sir
Fore I am the Goddess of this world
And the moon is a symbol of me.
As you can see
Something is wrong with me.”
Staring at her I say
“My magnificent Lady I knew it to be true
It was not lust but love I feel for you
It is love that I still have for you
For you are my Goddess
I have worshipped you all my life
I felt it last night
But I understood not
Why I had such love for you.
Please my Lady let me help you.”
She tilted her head and looked at me
Confusion flew across her beautiful face
And this she says to me
“Dear sir, you admit to me
It was not lust, but love you have for me
Fore all thru time
I have heard this
But never has it been true
But you sir, I see love in you.
Your aura for me
Is as love should be
So pure and refined.”
As my Lady spoke
Tears rolled down her face
I stepped up to her
I held her in a loving embrace
It wasn’t until then
That I became aware
Of the pain throbbing thru my hand.
I held it up
For us both to see
The stump that was once my hand
What once had form
Is now a tangled and bloody mass
My Lady gasped
At what she had done
She stroked my cheek oh, so gently
She held my head against her chest
Kissing my head while upon her breast
Strange words to my ears
Crossed her sweet lips
Then before my eyes
A white and blinding light
My broken hand regained its form
No longer was there pain
Just a whole and healed hand.
She looks at me
She says to me
“My love come with me.
Because of your love
And passion for me
And the love and passion I feel for you
We shall rule as one
Of all under the sun
As God and Goddess
Of the world.”
I’m speechless
I don’t know what to say
How can this all be so?
Yesterday I was a lonely man
Mocking others on the street
Now I’m being offered a job
As a God
“My Lady, you must be mistaken
You could not want me by your side”
“If not you then who
Should sit at my side.
In all my time
I’ve never seen
Such love in a man.
Because of your aura
I know it to be true
Not just words to be spoken.
It shall be you and I
For all eternity.”
Honored I am
But I don’t know what to say
To my beautiful Lady
With the gorgeous green eyes.
Who’s looking at me
With all the love in the world
“Answer me this my Lady
Answer me this if you please
Why have your eyes changed
Why the moon so full?”
“Your answer my love
Is one and the same
Your answer my love
Is you.
Because of your love
And not your lust
But because of your love
You have impregnated me
Never in all my time
Have I bore the child
Of a mortal man.
So as you can see
You are special to me
And must sit by my hand
Together we shall rule as one
All who dwell under the sun
From now and all eternity.”
“Please my Lady, do not take my pause
As a lack of love and devotion
But what you propose to me
Is a gigantic leap for me
And I must admit to being stunned
Truth be known
I would follow you anywhere
Even if you were from Hell
Because of my love for you
I am powerless to tell you no.”
As we embraced
I held her tightly
Pressing her soft, sweet lips to mine
All around me I could feel and hear
The dancing of lights
The sound of song
When I looked up
And glanced around
I was standing on a grassy knoll
And all I could see
Were the souls of people I’d known before
In a blink of an eye
A change came about me
As power filled my veins
And knowledge overwhelmed my mind
I now knew what it was
Had always known
What it was to be a God.
I reached for my Lady
And held her near
As I whispered in her ear
“I love you now
As I have my whole life.
I shall love you for all eternity.”
Since the beginning of time
Or as long as I can remember
My love and I
Have ruled as one
For all eternity.
