The Whisper

The whisper in the darkness,
"Are you ready?" Full of
longing, questions, and finally ..
answers.

The whisper of air across my skin,
raising the fine hairs along my
body, down my arms, across my chest,
nipples tightened in the caress.

The whisper of a scent, musky, exotic,
strange yet so familiar, evoking yearnings
for things longed for, hoped for.

The whisper of silk against silk as the
ropes are checked, knots retied, blindfold
secured.

The whisper of lips against my neck, hot
moist breath stirring my pulse, tasting
the pounding there, faster and faster.

The whisper of leather as the whip trails
down the silk of the bed and satin of my skin.

The whisper in the darkness,
"Are you ready?"
